Our very own annual Animation Nation is back this year with a fascinating programme of 'must-see' feature films, including The Secret of Kells, Mary and Max, Waltz with Bashir, Musahi: The Drama of the Last Samurai, A Town Called Panic and more, as well as short films, including Genius Party Beyond, Best of Studio AKA, Best of SIGGRAPH Asia 2008 and not forgetting our Singapore Showcase! Most of the feature films are screened in glorious 35mm and Digibeta, thus it is definitely going to be a real visual treat. It is as important to watch films as to completing your projects in school, so tear yourself away from that damm computer and lightbox and join in marveling the animation works. |

Music streamed through the corridors of ADM as people congregated at the café, where all the action was. Dressed for the mood, she was adorned with blue and white balloons, ribbons and vases of hand folded flowers. Paper hearts were stuck on twine, a portal for thoughts expressed by both the loved and broken hearted. Sweet treats were served as we celebrated our very own friendship day! |

The Special Topics Classes focusing on the Singapore Youth Olympics are still open, and are facing a shortage of students. Both classes offer "guaranteed exposure of works to the public" and they "deal with the creation of the mascot of the event and the development on innovative animated pieces using special effects". Meanwhile, the Painting II class is being brought back by Asst Prof Joan Kelly. Check your school email for more details on how to sign up for the modules.
